Graduate Student Panel
November 18, 2015
Thank you to all of the students and graduate students that came to our graduate student panel! We had a great turnout and learned a lot about research on campus. All of our panelists are open to accepting mentorships/interns, so if you see any particular project you’re interested in, or have a project you are interested in doing yourself but don’t know where to start, don’t hesitate to send them an email! If you were unable to make it to the meeting or wanted to look into the panelist’s research more, we have included their websites along with their email.

Arboretum Scavenger Hunt
November 10, 2015
Even though it was cold and rainy, we still had a great time exploring the arboretum with a photo scavenger hunt! Groups were tasked with photographing themselves doing certain things with certain taxa in order to get to know the wide range of diversity in UC Davis’ very own arboretum, while having a little bit of fun as well. Thank you to all that attended despite the rainy weather!

Pumpkin Carving Social
November 10, 2015
Thank you to all who came out to our pumpkin carving social! Everyone carved awesome pumpkins and got to know each other better. We also awarded prizes to those that had the best pumpkins, which was a very difficult decision.
Stebbins Cold Canyon Hike
November 10, 2015
Thank you to all of those who came hiking with us at Stebbins Cold Canyon! It was a very special hike because we got to learn about fire ecology and get access to an area that is currently off limits to the public. Hopefully we will be able to see the area again in the spring to see how it bounces back from the fire!
